Jamaican Mission

I am very excited to announce an assignment the Lord has given me. Prophecy and Promises is teaming up with Kingdom Outreach International (KOI) in order to feed and bless the impoverished of Jamaica.

KOI is headed up by missionary Pastor Emanuel Azan (known as Manny to his friends) of Clarksville, TN, a native Jamaican. Pastor Manny is a former Muslim who accepted Christ in 1997. His missions outreach has touched the nations of Guatemala, Honduras and now his birth place, Jamaica. Since 2011, KOI has fed those who are shut-in and less fortunate, handed out school supplies and Christmas gifts to children and the elderly. They also build bathrooms for elderly people who still use outhouses. It goes without saying that the love of God is expressed by this ministry, and the Gospel is shared through giving out Bibles and ministry.

Pastor Manny and I attend Faith Outreach Church together where he serves faithfully. When he is not there, he operates his own business, Merba’s Gallery, which specializes in military and religious prints and custom framing. The money from the gallery helps to finance mission trips.

Jesus says in the Gospels, “For you have the poor with you always,” and might I add that the poor are found everywhere. When people think of Jamaica, they sometimes envision a Caribbean Island getaway; however, the wealth of the tourist areas on the island is not felt all over. Recently, a long standing part of the Jamaican press, The Gleaner, took note of Pastor Manny’s outreach to his home country. So, this outreach is making a difference despite unfriendly customs agents and exorbitant fees, read more here.

We are believing God  to help the Jamaican people in need.  Feeding shut-ins and others less fortunate, building bathrooms, supply school materials for children and the elderly in need. In addition, the local hospitals are in sad shape and in dire need of functioning wheelchairs.

Whatever amount you can give, remember, God considers it a personal favor to help the poor. He says,

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done. ~~ Proverbs 19:17, NIV

These are the Father’s very Words that He swears by to fulfill. And this is just one promise that goes along with so many others to multiply your giving.

KOI is a tax deductible foundation, funds go directly to them.
