Greetings in the name of the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. Here we are in December once again, and Christmas is knocking on our door. What a fabulous time of year celebrating the birth of Jesus! The sights and sounds around us are so cheerful and joyous that everyone seems to have an expectancy.
Christmas is also a very emotional time for many of us as we remember loved ones who have gone on to heaven. We remember the joy they brought, their smiles, their laughter, their wisdom, and their love . . . however, I remind you that heaven is a real place, and it is full of our loved ones who have gone on before us.
Therefore, we sorrow not, as others sorrow, but we rejoice because we know we will see them all again! As Christians, we have hope in what Jesus Christ did on the cross. He blew a hole through death so we would no longer be bound by it. When we leave this body, we go straight into the presence of the Lord. HALLELUJAH! Death has no more sting! We are given life eternal because of the sacrifice made on the cross.
Remember when Jesus was teaching His disciples how to pray? He said, “Father, Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” It is not the Father’s will in heaven that we here on earth sorrow in times of godly celebrations, such as Christmas. As we celebrate here on earth, there is also great celebration in the heavens. Consider this account of celebration from the book of Revelation when Jesus is found worthy to take the book and open the seals that start the Tribulation Period:
(Revelation 5:12-13).
(Ephesians 1:10).
What a glorious day when we are caught up together with Him in the air, or when we leave this body and go into His presence. So remember, when a loved one has gone on before us, we are only separated from them for a short time, just as the Father was from Jesus when He sent His Son to earth to save us and give us abundant life. It is never fun to be apart from the ones you love; however, as members of the Body of Christ, we are truly never apart.
No matter what you are facing this Christmas Season, know that God is with you. He has sent His Word and the Holy Spirit to comfort and deliver you from every situation. I declared you to be an overcomer who is blessed and highly favored!
As always, Michelle and I appreciate your prayers and support. They have meant so much to us throughout 2014. I know there are many ministries out there that you can partner with, and we considered it a great honor that you would partner with us. We wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas, and may God’s love and peace surround you all during this time of celebration!
Remember, Jesus is coming, again, soon!
Your brother in Christ
