Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus. Welcome to a new year . . . 2019 is wide open! You have the grace to fulfill God’s will for your life this year. Prosperity, restoration, health, peace—all things that have to do with the abundant life Jesus died for you to have.
We can expect to see many events happen in the coming year that pertain to Bible Prophecy. Togarmah, who we know today as Turkey, will move further away from its relationship with the United States. They will be drawn closer into their relationship with Russia as the alliance of Ezekiel 38 is strengthened.
Divisions between nationalism and socialist communism in nations around the world will grow. This will cause much distress in nations as Jesus prophesied in the book of Luke. Nations already steeped in communism will begin to fail, even more so, leaving their people in poverty and lack, causing a sea of humanity to cry out. This division is set in motion by antichrist spirits to prepare the way for Satan to have a one-world government, which will never come. Jesus says,
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.” —Luke 21:25
Space exploration will continue to grow as China has now landed a vehicle on the unexplored dark side of the moon. President Donald Trump has declared the United States will increase its interest and investment in space exploration and will create a Space Force and make more landings on the moon and Mars. Russia will certainly be involved in this new space race as well. We truly will have more signs from the sun, moon, and stars than ever before, as Jesus prophesied.
Disasters both natural and manmade will continue to affect the world. These events cost human lives and billions of dollars in damage. The earth is groaning to see the manifestation of the sons of God. Just as in the time of Noah, man’s wickedness has filled the earth and causes it great distress. In Genesis 6:5, God says this wickedness was “in” the earth; not “on” it, but “in” it. For this reason alone, we have pestilences in the earth like cancer, which is also prophesied by Jesus:
“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.” —Matthew 24:7
It has recently come to my attention that these disasters cause large numbers of people to migrate to other areas of the world. Whether the reason is natural or manmade due to socialistic communism or dictatorship in governments, people now migrate in search of a better or safer life. When I asked God what this migration had to do with Bible Prophecy, the Holy Spirit reminded me of Daniel 12:4, “many shall run to and fro.” In the past, I had always associated that Scripture with travel, but never with the migration of large groups of people from one country to another.
In this coming year, darkness will continue to cover the face of the earth as Isaiah prophesied:
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise over you, and His glory shall be seen on you. —Isaiah 60:2
Many people, even Christians, will be sucked into the darkness. HOWEVER, let not your heart be troubled!!! Believe the Word of God! The prophet also says that “the Lord shall arise over you, and His glory shall be seen on you.” Even with this great darkness, there is an even greater light, the light of glory! The prophet Habakkuk says this about the same time period:
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. —Habakkuk 2:14
Be warned! I said even Christians would be sucked into this darkness. If you do nothing, you will be overcome. You must believe the Word! In order to believe the Word, you must know the Word! The Word is Jesus, so in this coming year, your relationship with Him will be more important than ever before in your life.
You will have to make sacrifices and be diligent in order to stay in the glory. Deception will be at an all-time high. Going to church alone will not do. You may find yourself struggling to stay in the light, but the struggle is worth it and becomes easier the more sanctified you are to God.
What you make of your new year is in your hands, not God’s. Even this very day you make the difference in your future. I pray God’s best on your life for 2019, and you will find the beginning of it in this verse:
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. —Joshua 1:8
Until next time, remember, Jesus is coming soon! Be ready!
