Greetings in the name of Jesus! Well, it’s pretty much summer and getting hotter here in Middle Tennessee. We are still preparing for the Impact America Crusades coming up here in Nashville and Indiana. I sure do appreciate your prayers and financial support. I know Evangelist Sutton, and our heavenly Father, are also appreciative, so please keep it coming. Soul winning is our primary assignment as disciples of Jesus Christ!
The Nashville event budget has almost been met. We are only a few thousand dollars from reaching our goal. I know our God is the God of abundance and increase, so we are declaring an increase on what you have sown and are continuing to sow into this soul-winning event! Praise God for you!
As these End Times come to a close, the events our Bible tells us about are being foreshadowed more and more with greater intensity. The antichrist spirits are working around the clock to prepare the way for the man of sin.
And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, “Come and see.” And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, “A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”
—Revelation 6:5-6
At the beginning of the Tribulation, Jesus opens a seal and releases a black-horse rider (notice that Jesus is Lord over the Tribulation). This rider has scales. Scales are used to bring a balance between things. “A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight” (Prov. 11:1). This rider does not bring a just or righteous balance but knocks things way out of balance. This rider is restrained by the seal at this moment, but other spirits, with his attributes, are currently at work.
The black-horse rider causes lack, and I’m sure you have noticed how lack is a major enemy of God. Shortages always work hand-in-hand with fear, which is the greatest tool of Satan. Can you imagine the amount of shortages this horse rider will cause?
During the recent pestilence known as COVID-19, do you remember the toilet paper shortage? What was that even about? The devil is stupid . . . toilet paper? The sickness didn’t even cause a need for toilet paper. Yet, the antichrist spirits created a deception and fear about toilet paper that resulted in a shortage.
Now this year, as these spirits have captured some momentum, they have created the perception of more and more shortages: fuel, chicken, beef, and even swimming-pool chlorine. Some shortages have been more successful than others and have affected only certain areas, yet they are paving the way for more significant lack and fear.
Deception is on the rise in the world. With the fuel shortage, the gas stations ran out of gas; however, their regular delivery trucks remained on schedule and had no lack of fuel. The same with the beef; it was only one large processing company that was affected. There wasn’t and still isn’t a shortage of actual cows. Fear is now at an elevated level on the earth. It only has to be said that there is a shortage of some kind, and people go into a frenzy.
As Christians, we should not go into a frenzy. Even in Revelation 6:6, Jesus says, “Hurt not the oil and the wine.” The oil and wine represent staples needed for life. Some staple for survival will always be available because we serve a good God! There will be no absolute famine. However, these shortages can cause conflict between those who have and those who have not, which plays into the hands of the red-horse rider, often known as a man of war, which I will save discussing for another time.
Our God has promised to take care of us, and He will do so if you only believe and act on His Word. We must use godly wisdom as we navigate our lives. There is nothing wrong with being prepared for unforeseen events as long as it is not driven by fear. Jesus says,
“Therefore I tell you, stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more excellent] than clothing?”
—Matthew 6:25 AMPC
Jesus goes on to say, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (v. 33).
The kingdom of God is all about the souls of mankind. This is how God operates. If we concern ourselves with soul winning, lack will never reach us, and shortages should not cause us any fear. SO, FEAR NOT! He shall supply all of our needs according to His riches in heaven (Phil. 4:19).
