Greetings in the wonderful and majestic name of our Lord Jesus, the High Priest of our confession. It is our confession that activates the power of all that Jesus did on the Cross for our lives. Resurrection Sunday is this month, and we will celebrate the risen King of kings. We will hear about the importance of the Cross, Jesus’ death, burial, and His rise again to new life; all events foretold through Bible Prophecy and fulfilled for our benefit. What a reason to rejoice! Not only on Easter but every day.
During our celebration, let’s not forget to take advantage of all that Jesus accomplished for us on the Cross. We do so, primarily, through our confession of Faith—speaking the Word in the name of Jesus. It is our confession of His Word that will deliver us from every fear and trouble we may have; the greatest being the fear of death. In order to combat the adversary, who is not flesh and blood, we must confess God’s Word. From the time of the new birth (our personal salvation) until the time we stand before Christ, it is our words that affect the spiritual realm.
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. —Romans 10:8-10
For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” —Romans 10:13
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. —Mark 11:23
In these End Times, we face perilous times. Jesus foretold of the upheavals of nature, wars, ethnic violence, and incurable diseases as well as the deception of antichrist spirits. These demons are constantly at work trying to convince Christians they are something they are not, like unneeded, unable, unwanted, useless, sick, poor, ill-equipped, and insignificant. All of which, a Christian is NONE! In contrast, these spirits even convince some Christians that they are living a “good” life and “all is well” with God, when they are actually, to quote Jesus, wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked (Rev. 3:17).
We are in a battle for the souls of men. As Christians, we wage a good warfare, but there are times of war that we suffer hardships. It doesn’t matter who you are; you face these hardships. But fear not, these tribulations are short lived because He has equipped us with weapons that are not carnal, but spiritual. Our main weapon is the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. In order to use this weapon, we must speak the Word.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
—Revelation 12:11
If we are to overcome the adversary, we must speak! Our testimony is what God promised in His Word to be part of the overcoming combination. We must speak and give our testimony, and when we do, we are speaking the Word that came true for us. Know this! The two-edged sword is the Word, which must be spoken.
One edge of the sword made a cut when God said it. (He has already spoken every word we need to overcome all the issues of life in this End Time.) When He said it, the Word became truth and caused a deadly, painful wound in our adversary, Satan. The other edge is when YOU speak His Word concerning the situation. It allows your faith to be released, which will divide the doubt in your soul (or mind) from the truth of His Word in your spirit. It takes both edges to overcome.
It is God’s Word, or Truth, in your spirit that will bring spiritual things into the realm of the natural (Rom. 4:17, II Cor. 4:18). Neither Satan nor his strongest demons can stop the Word of God! When you speak the Word, the wound God made with His sword’s edge is struck again with the sword’s other edge. Remember, resist the devil, and he will run in terror from you (James 4:7). How do we resist? We resist with the Word.
Resisting is what Jesus did when Satan approached him in the wilderness (Matt. 4). He said, “It is written,” when Satan tempted Him. Speaking the Word plunges the sword back into Satan’s wound. It terrifies him to think of the Word piercing through him again and re-establishing the victory of the blood of Jesus, and he flees.
The blood of Jesus is also a reason we overcome! The blood shed by Jesus on the Cross paid the price for all of this to be true in our lives. He gave His life so that we might have an abundant and overflowing life. He overcame the works of the devil for us by giving His life. The willingness to give your life is the third part of overcoming. Many leave this part out although it is an integral part of Revelation 12:11.
Giving of your life doesn’t necessarily mean giving your physical life; however, you must be willing to put aside your wants and way of thinking. I know it may sound like a broken record, but you must renew your mind to the Word of God (Rom. 12:2), and put the things of God first before your own “things” (Matt. 6:33).
The importance of the Word is truly unfathomable because the Word IS Jesus. Remember, Jesus is the Word that was made flesh. The Word of God is Jesus from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21. It does you no good to carry Him around in your hand or in your heart and never let Him speak; that’s like carrying a sword into battle and never drawing it out of the sheath. If you just believe, but never activate the Word by speaking, you run the risk of getting beat up and wounded beyond belief—and possibly even killed in battle because you never drew your weapon.
Words activate beings in the spiritual realm. In Genesis, the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the earth until God spoke. When He spoke, the Holy Spirit went to work to bring His Words to pass. Angels are also activated by the Word of God.
Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His Word, heeding the voice of His Word.
—Psalms 103:20
In this Scripture, we see that angels heed, or adhere, to the voice of His Word and bring those words to pass. You must be the one who gives voice to His Word. You are a great warrior for the kingdom of God; speak His Word, in Faith, and overcome the wiles of the devil. After all, Jesus has made you more than a conqueror.
Let this Resurrection Season be the one when you resurrect Jesus, the Word, in your mouth. Then speak His Word into the world for souls to come to know Jesus and prophetic events to come to pass. After all, every word about Jesus, including your testimony, is the spirit of prophecy (Rev.19:10). It foretells what Jesus will do in the earth and in the lives of people. He did it for you, so He will do it for others!
Thank you for helping us do just that—going into the world to tell people about the Prophecies and Promises of God. Your prayers and financial support allow the Spirit of Prophecy, Jesus, to give hope to those who need edification in these End Times. We are praying for you and your families to be partakers in these great and precious promises. Every offering we receive is held up before God, and we declare His Words of blessings over you.
God is putting exciting things on my heart for this part of Jesus’ ministry. Please join us in prayer for favor and godly wisdom. Please also pray for this message of hope through Bible Prophecy, and the book of Revelation, to burn on the hearts of pastors. And then, foremost, for our meetings to bring souls into the kingdom of God and set those captive free with signs following!
Michelle and I are honored to have you as our partner. We call you blessed, healed, and whole in Jesus’ name. Until next time . . . remember, Jesus is coming soon!
