Your Church’s Tenants of Faith

June 18, 2015 by Dwayne Byerly Leave a Comment

It is very important to know your churches beliefs because there may be areas of unbelief that could hinder your victory. Many may not believe in divine healing, others may not believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This doesn’t mean they are heretics or wrong in what they do believe.

Many members of the Body of Christ have not received enlightenment on certain areas of the Word. This doesn’t mean they are not an effective member of the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:23-27). All members are called to a certain position or assignment.

However, it is unbelief that posses a danger in the last days. Not a unbelief in Jesus, we know where that will get you, but the unbelief in areas of His Word. You can have whatever the Bible says “IF” you believe. If you don’t believe that angels will pick you up out of harms way then you can’t have that promise of God. If you have no understanding of the authority of the believer you’ll not operate in that authority.

The power of the Holy Spirit and the authority in you because of Him is what’s important today and the days ahead. If you don’t know about this authority and power of God that lies within you as a believer you need to know. A church body that can impart that knowledge to you is vital in these perilous times. Jesus truly only ask us to believe Him.

As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” Mark 5:36

Born Again?

You must be born again to go to heaven. Jesus said “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." To do this all you have to do is call on the name of Jesus. When you BELIEVE in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you will experience the new birth.
